Honours Seminar in Social Anthropology

Course Description:
This seminar provides an opportunity for students to engage in sustained investigative scholarship through independent research initiative. The first term concentrates on locating the student's work within a broader set of theoretical and methodological debates in the discipline, while the second term is devoted to students' research and writing activities in preparing the thesis required for honours graduation. In the second term, class time is used for students to make "in progress" reports and presentations about their chosen topics.
