As part of one of my classes this year, I've been assigned as a writing tutor to the core 2000-level Sociology & Social Anthropology class at Dalhousie. I work with a colleague conducting workshops and tutorials, as well as being available for one-on-one tutoring sessions. In addition to this, students in the teaching practicum study writing and teaching theory concurrently, and are expected to keep reflective logs of their activities. In my efforts to encourage students to make use of our services, I developed a website to keep them abreast of our activities and provide them with a way to contact us directly.
